2026 Queens of Halton Nomination

ALL NOMINATIONS MUST INCLUDE your full name and full name of nominee, their email address or telephone number and a detailed reason for nomination in your response. You may nominate in more than one category.

All nominees must live, work or study in Halton. (Towns Runcorn and Widnes. Villages Daresbury. Hale, Moore, and Preston Brook)

Nominees will be shortlisted by Fortuna Female Society from the answers provided below. The shortlist will then be submitted to an independent judging panel and winners will be announced at the Queens of Halton celebration evening in June.

Excerpts from the reasons for nomination may be shared during the event.

Queens of Halton 2026 Award Categories

Jo Cox Make a Difference Award

This award recognises a woman from Halton who has made a lasting impact in the local area. She may have campaigned for change, or been involved in a project that has directly improved people’s lives.

Rising Star Award

This award recognises a young woman under the age of 18 who stands out for supporting or uplifting others. She may lead by example, offer encouragement, or play an active role in her school, group, or community.

Community Leader of the Year Award

This award recognises a woman who leads by example in the Halton community. She may lead a charity, community interest company, grassroots group, or not-for-profit organisation, helping to strengthen and support the local community.

Queen of Culture Award

This award recognises a woman or female led group or organisation for their commitment to celebrating, championing or creating art and access to culture within Halton.

Volunteer of the Year Award

This award recognises a woman who gives her time to support the local community. She may help run local groups, support others, create safer spaces, or bring people together without seeking recognition.

Woman in Business Award

This award recognises a woman in Halton who is running or leading a business. She may be a sole trader, founder, or business leader who is creating opportunities, contributing to the local economy, or making a positive impact through her work.

Ray of Light Award

This award celebrates a woman who brings joy to others. She may be known for her kindness, warmth, positivity, or the way she lifts the mood of those around her.
