Something powerful is happening, and we want you to be part of it.

Fortuna Female Society is now a registered charity (Charity No. 1213200), and we’re stepping into an exciting new chapter. But we’re not doing it alone. The direction we take next will be guided by the women who know Halton best – that’s you.

We’ve always believed that real change starts by listening. That’s why we’re launching a new community consultation this September and we’re asking you to help shape what comes next.

Whether you’ve joined us before or are just discovering Fortuna Female Society, this is your opportunity to speak up about what matters, what’s missing, and what support women in our community truly need.

You might remember our “What Women Want” consultation last year. It gave us a powerful insight into the lives of local women. Your hopes, your frustrations, and your ideas. We took that feedback seriously included ideas in our sessions that reflected your voices.

Now, with our new charity status, we’re ready to build even more. But to do that well, we need fresh input – we don’t want to be sat in an echo chamber guessing what local women really want.

We’re planning to apply for new funding to help keep our activity costs low and our sessions accessible. To make that work, we need to understand what YOU want us to prioritise.

We’re asking questions like:

  • What kinds of spaces or services are missing locally?
  • What are the biggest gaps in provision for women in Halton?
  • What would help you feel more connected, confident, or supported?
  • What stops you from taking part in current activities around Halton?
  • What ideas or experiences do you want to share?

This is a chance to be honest, hopeful, bold – and heard.

We’re holding two in-person consultation sessions in September:

Wednesday 17th September – afternoon into the early evening

Saturday 20th September – daytime

We’re keeping the timing and location flexible for now, because we want you to help shape what works best. That’s why we’re asking you to register your interest in attending and tell us what would suit you.

This consultation is open to all women across Halton, whatever your background or experience.

What happens with your feedback?

Everything we hear will feed directly into our planning and grant applications. Your voice will help decide what services we grow, what gaps we fill, and how we continue to support women across Halton in ways that are meaningful and led by real need.

We’ll also be sharing updates and opportunities to stay involved as our work evolves. This isn’t a one-off, it’s the foundation for ongoing connection and co-creation.
